ABOUT
Pixel Blox AI is inspired by the early days of video-games, specifically by 16-Bit and 32-Bit graphics.
In Pixel Blox you connect together 3D Pixel-sized cubes on a wireframe skeleton which animates the pixels in that link-set. These can be characters, buildings, animals, vehicles, etc. An 'AI' brain is added to control that link-set's automation.
The standard scale is that characters are:
VERSE ONE: 16 pixels high = 2 meters / 6 foot
VERSE TWO: 32 pixels high = 2 meters / 6 foot
V1 is a faster game although with less detailed image resolution than V2.
There are 3 components to the game:
Create - where you link together pixels with a skeleton, choose their colour and physics, and basic movement parameters.
MyZone - your own universe to play with your creations inside your own device
Online - interact with other users live;
- in a public access forum which enables you to explore Freezone (PG rate) (limited upload size, uploads disappear after log out)
- rent your own private zones to create and showcase group projects (PG or 18 rate) (expanded upload size, uploads remain after log out)
DEVELOPMENT - DIGITAL LIFE / DIGITAL DNA
'drag n drop' scripts added to the BRAIN cube of a pixel-blox link-set to tell it how to behave. The development of basic AI blox interacting with other blox can be left to develop itself as blox are scripted to perform basic tasks and to learn from this.
Given 'ingest', 'grow', 'mutate depending on food type', 'reproduce', functions, many geno-types can emerge. Ecologies create themselves based on blueprint patterns for the behaviour of blox within that region.
The potentials are limitless - and using only pixel-sized blox for the characters, processing power for the whole-ecology is maximized. It is versatile as a system.
